We all know the basic steps to achieve a clear healthy skin but are these tips enough? Today I won’t be sharing tips like drink enough water, perform your CTM routine religiously, eat healthy, etc. You have already read about these tips and you know basic steps for achieving a clear skin already. But for those who don’t know yet, I’ll just share these steps and tips before moving on the real tips that you need to follow too along with the basic steps. The basic steps/tips are:

  • Cleanse, tone and moisturize your skin twice a day.
  • Keep your body hydrated.
  • Exercise at least twice a week.
  • Avoid eating too much of junk.
  • Exfoliate at least once in a week.
  • Protect your skin from sun even when you are at home.

These tips will definitely help you in achieving a clear and glowing skin but if they don’t, then there are probably many things you’re ignoring in your daily life that are causing those acne, dull skin and pigmentation.

1. UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU SKIN DEMANDS:

a

While the most essential demand of every skin is moisturization, every skin is different and needs different level of moisturization too. For instance, a dry skin needs a heavy mosituriser which is mainly oil based and on the other hand, an oily skin will need simple hydration through a water based moisturization. Both these skin can’t use the same product for moisturising as their skin demands and needs are different.

So basically one should study about their skin type and try to understand the type of products and ingredients that would suit their skin type the most.

2. READ THE LABEL:

That’s something I had read ages ago but realized it’s importance very recently. It’s important to read the label of any product before purchasing or using it. Always check the ingredient list, date of manufacture, date of expiry, how long can the product be used after opening it, etc.

The logic behind reading the ingredient list is to have an idea about what are you about to use on your skin. There are certain chemicals and natural ingredients that can cause acne while many can help in curing.

Chemicals like are highly comedogenic and can clog your pores and result in acne. While chemicals like salicylic acid etc help in treating acne. Even certain brands that claim to be non comedogenic have ingredients that clog pores.

Most of us are now trying to invest in only natural products and thus it’s even more important to check the label as the natural products have a comparitively smaller shelf life after opening of the packaging. Also, many brands that claim to be natural use alot of chemicals and that can only be know by checking the list.

So, it’s always better to read the label and decide what’s best for you.

3. INVEST BUT WISELY:

11

I don’t usually hesist on spending a little extra money when it comes to buying skincare products. If a product works great on your skin and you know there is no replacement for it, then the product is worth every penny.

But simply because a product is costly, it doesn’t have to be effective. Before investing on any product, read it’s reviews online and if needed ask your queries to the person reviewing it or to the customer care of the brand. And the best way to spend your money wisely is by trying out a sample or travel size product before indulging in a bigger size.

4. NEVER SLEEP WITH MAKEUP ON YOUR FACE:

01

Of course we all know that ! It’s very Essential to remove makeup before going to bed. A facewash is not enough to remove all the waterproof makeup and thus I prefer using double cleansing method to remove the makeup and dirt effectively.  Alternatively, you can also use makeup wipes or micellar water to remove makeup and then follow up with your regular night routine.

5. DON’T SHARE YOUR COSMETICS:

1.1

I share almost everything with my best friend, but who doesn’t? Since birth we have been told that, “Sharing is caring” ! but when it comes to sharing cosmetics, the truth is exactly the opposite. Sharing cosmetics can cause transfer of infections and diseases and also increase bacteria interaction on the product. All this may lead to clog of pores and thus, breakout.

So, that’s it for today. I hope these tips were helpful and if you liked my post, do let me know by subscribing and commenting. I’ll be back soon with another review or tips. Till then take care and stay beautyissh 🙂
